Privacy Policy
Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE] · Operated by [COMPANY / OPERATOR NAME]
What we collect
- Account identity — your name, email, profile picture, and
OAuth subject id from Google or Apple Sign-In (we never receive your
password).
- Your music library — audio files you upload, plus track
metadata (title, artist, BPM), folders, and playlists.
- Usage data — playback history (which tracks played, when)
and, if you use voice commands, the transcript of what you said.
- Connected accounts — when you link Spotify, YouTube, or
Apple Music for imports, we store OAuth tokens to read metadata on your
behalf. Tokens are stored server-side and never shared.
- Billing — if you purchase licenses, payment is handled by
Stripe; we store only your Stripe customer id and subscription status, never
card numbers.
Third parties we share data with
- Google / Apple — sign-in identity verification.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Spotify / YouTube / Apple Music — when you import or play
streaming tracks.
- OpenAI — if you use voice commands, the recording of
each command is sent to be transcribed, and the transcript is sent to be
acted on together with what that needs: the songs playing and coming up
in your room, the names of your saved rounds, heats, socials and
playlists, how many songs of each dance you have, and the titles,
artists and folders of songs it looks up. While "Keep listening" is on
in the library sphere, and for a moment after a spoken "show me", the
microphone stays open: anything said near the device, conversation
included, is recorded in short clips and each clip with speech in it is
sent to be transcribed. A transcript with no command words in it goes no
further, and talk that isn't a command is not acted on or kept. Three
clips of talk in a row switch "Keep listening" off. If you ask it to work out the
dances in your library, the titles, artists, tempos and folder names of
your songs that don't already name a dance are sent. If you ask for an AI picture for a folder, that
folder's name, the names of the folders beside it, where it sits in your
library, a sample of the titles and artists inside it, and any text you
ask to have in the picture are sent so the picture can be drawn. Nothing is sent for folders you don't ask
about.
- AcoustID / MusicBrainz / iTunes / Deezer — to look up
album art and identify uploaded tracks.
We do not sell your personal data.
Your rights
You can export all data we hold about you
(GET /api/account/export, also surfaced in the app) and
permanently delete your account and all associated data
(DELETE /api/account). You can sign out of all devices at any time.
For any request, contact [[email protected]].
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. Deleting your account removes
your library, playlists, history, and identity from our systems; backups are
purged on their normal rotation.
